Hiya Freakers!!! It's been a while tween letters but better late than never. Thanks to all those filmic freakophiles who have sent fillums in so far but the flatline is not till August 14th so keep 'em comin. For all those stoners who think they aint got time, we of course like every year, have a later entry date of September 9th with a extra late $5 fee, Cheaper than a pint, big ears! After last years terrifyingly hilarious bunch of Fuct up fillums, we're looking forward to this years motley meranderings.

NEW SPECIAL PRIZE CATERGORY

Thats right trendsetter, this year we are proud to announce a special new prize catorgory to encourage more sick and twisted scenarios in your work, by having a 'best Special FX in a film' prize. Thanks to the people who run Smoke and Mirrors click here magazine they are giving away a one year subscription to this amazing publication which explains the ins and outs of the make-up, blood, guts, gore, prosthetics and new special FX technology in the film industry today. It's Aussie too, which makes it even better in our books!! The couple of issues we read had stories on 'Slither' and the new killer sheep movie not to be missed, Black Sheep. Its like Playboy for Special FX fans.

So by special FX we mean, creatures, prosthetic FX, makeup, etc. CGI may come into it, depends what turns up, but just a hint, we here at Trash headquarters prefer hands-on old school rubber latex stuff and what not. So all you budding Tom Savini's get to it!!!

JUDGES

Not only have all our cool n' crazy regular Trash experts returned to be judge, jury and executioners this year, but we have a new celebrity judge to add to the gang. American exploitation filmmaker, Ted V Mikels, he of the classic films (among plenty of others) Doll Squad, Corpse Grinders 1 & 2, Astro Zombies and Mark of the Astro Zombies has said he'll be a judge if he can find some time during post production on his latest monster flick, Demon Bloodlust. Bit of trivia... many years ago Ted made the film Doll Squad with Tura Satana from 'Faster Pussycat kill kill' which some bozos ripped off and made the TV show Charlies Angels with no credit to Mr Mikels.
