JULY 2006 NEWSLETTER

HI YA FREAKERS, we've been busy as a beaver in a brothel getting together this years festevil and are happy to announce that the townsfolk of Rockhampton, Queensland will be the latest victims on our hitlist for the Trash tour this year. This is Dick's old hometown so the townsfolk will probably be WAITING with pitchforks and torches BEFORE he gets there.

We also would like to thank the filmmakers who have sent in their trash entries and welcome the latest cultured intellectuals out there to join the Trash Database. We love you long time! Thanx also and a big welcome to our latest cool sponsors with their generous donations to help the cause of Trash Film Australia: Body Art Tattoo shop, Midwest Trader, Crown and Anchor Hotel, The Kava Hut, and Boss Beat. Check out the links to their sites at the bottom of the page.

SHOW US YA TATTS! Send in pictures of those groovy Horror/Science Fiction and Trash Tattoos you've been hiding away along with your peirced genitals. (Please don't send in pix of your pierced genitals) We'll proudly put them up on our site so the world can gasp in awe at your cool artwork of movie icons and scenes. Click on the Body Art logo below to see a few we've got already from the talented fellas, Gomer, Shep and Dave from the Body Art shop itself. There's no better place in Oz to get stabbed repeatedly with a sharp needle, (all for the sake of art!) Well actually you can go to Jero's grannys place, she took out his Grandpa's eye with a Knitting needle after a heated game of gin rummy.

TRASHARAMA HITS CANNES FILM FESTIVAL!! Hey, well nail me to a cross and call me Easter Bunny!!! What's that t-shirt this very cool young go getter is wearing, talking to Lloyd Kaufman at this years Cannes Film Festival in France? That would be Leon Fish and his partner in grime, Duke Hendrix of Hendrix/Fish Films who had their feature film production, 'Bloodspit' screen there. Cool! Check out the Troma website for more piccies and info. (Thats where we ripped off the photo..Cheers! click here) What! you thought we'd actually gone to Cannes? Its just cans of Tom Pipers Irish stew and beer on toast at the moment. mmm... Maybe we can start a new recipe page too?

Sticky Carpet explores the drive behind the musicians, and recognises the importance of the three community radio stations which have fostered the scene through their ongoing support.

Sticky Carpet interviews the bands currently leading the charge, current day sonic explorers such as Robin Fox and Rod Cooper, and Melbourne scene stalwarts such as Ross Knight (Cosmic Psychos), Bruce Milne (founder Au-Go-Go Records, In-Fidelity Records), Roland S Howard (Boys Next Door, The Birthday Party) and many more...
